James Condron

James "Jim" Condron, 83, of Abilene, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023.

Visitation will be Friday, April 14, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 15, with burial following at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Jim was born November 22, 1939, in Elgin, TX to William Franklin Condron and Lila Jane Condron. He married Wanda Sue King on November 3, 1962, in Brownwood, TX. They spent 28 years together until her passing in 1991. Jim married Barbara Jean Hamil on May 16, 1992, in Abilene. He was a member of the Elgin Masonic Lodge #328 for over 50 years, as well as a member of Oldham Lane Church of Christ. Jim worked as a property rate specialist for the Texas Department of Insurance. After retiring, Jim and Barbara spent their time travelling the world together. He also enjoyed using his knowledge of construction to help others, and he had a passion for old movies. Above all, Jim loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lila Condron; his wife, Wanda Sue Condron; brother, Bill Condron, and one grandchild, Ezri Galdiano.

Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Condron of Abilene; daughter, Kristi Kay Stewart and husband Mark of Haskell; daughter, Kathy Lynn Martin and husband Blake of Odessa; daughter, Kim Galdiano and husband George of Princeton; daughter, Pamela Concepcion and husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Mark Cooper and wife Cookie of Fayetteville, AR; sister, Susan Davis and husband Darrell of Austin; grandchildren: Parker Martin, Grayson Martin, Payden Stewart and wife Tandi, Taylor Stewart and wife Jana, Pryce Stewart, Alye Waide and husband John, Tristan Cooper, Gideon Galdiano, Amilia Galdiano, Jackson Alexander, and Victoria Alexander, along with four great-grandchildren.
