James Parker Bettis

James Parker Bettis, 34, passed from this earth on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in College Station, Texas. Parker was born on April 2, 1981 in Amarillo, Texas to his parents, Terry and Claudia Bettis. The family moved to Abilene just a few weeks after his birth, and Parker grew up in Abilene, attending Crockett Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and graduating from Abilene High School in 1999. He went on to attend Blinn College and the NY Film Academy in California. Parker was a geographic designer for Delta Group and also was the owner of Lightswitch Productions. He enjoyed filming music videos for many of his friends in the music industry. He was a loyal Aggie Fan and attended many sporting events on campus. Parker is survived by his parents; a brother, Jeff Bettis and wife Stacy and nephew Luke, whom he adored; grandmothers, Dottie Bettis and Jean Park; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 25, at 2:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, in Abilene, with Randy Reese officiating.
