Texas Pacific transferred them to Abilene, Texas, where Jim became District Superintendent. From there, they moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, then on to Oklahoma City, and to Breckenridge Texas. He also enjoyed photography, fishing, furniture restoration and refinishing, and hunting.
