Inez Row Barefoot

Inez Barefoot, 83, of Abilene passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born Inez Row to Marion and Malissa Row on January 12, 1937 in Gouldbusk, TX. She graduated from Abilene High School, then married James Weldon Barefoot on September 7, 1956, and they spent almost 54 years together until his passing on May 30, 2010. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16 at Elmwood Memorial Park with Bro. David Cason officiating. There will be no formal visitation, but those wishing to pay their respects may do so during normal business hours, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Tuesday, December 15. Inez worked for the Timex watch company, and she helped her husband Jim at Barefoot Electric Co. She loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters. Inez is survived by her son, James W. Barefoot Jr., and wife Lindy; daughter, Cindy Childers and husband Gayland; daughter, Tamara Hagler and husband John; sister, Margret Crawford; grandchildren, Ashley and Jon Skinner, Collin and Danielle Barefoot, Jason and Tyler Childers, Jay McDaniel, and Wesley and Bailey Hagler. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
