Imogene Ann Harris

Imogene Harris, 82, of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 29 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, November 30 at Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Don C. Wilson of First Christian Church, Abilene, officiating. Arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Imogene was born in Hope, Kansas to Louis and Susan Fortmeyer on July 7, 1933. She married Boyd Harris on August 20, 1953. She worked in the nursery for over 25 years at First Christian Church, Abilene. Imogene is survived by her husband of 62 years, Boyd Harris, son Randy Harris and wife Brenda of Abilene, daughter Cindy Wood of Ft. Worth, son Ricky Harris of Abilene and son Tracy Harris of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Randa Harris, Kristen Wooten and husband Allen, Mallory Hall and husband Austin; and great-grandchildren Aileigh Wooten and Jenson Wooten.
