Henry Clay "Hank" Snow, 91, of Abilene, Texas, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Born in Coalgate, Oklahoma, on August 19, 1918, he was the son of the late Nellie Grace (Cochran) and Charlie Wilburn Snow. A United States Army veteran of World War II (1939-1945), he was stationed at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed and served in every major Battle in the South Pacific.
Hank married June Blue on November 18, 1950 in Abilene.
He was a Test Site Department Supervisor for Westinghouse for 27 years in Nevada. Since 1988, Hank had been a resident of Abilene, Texas, where he was a member and deacon of Broadview Baptist Church, and a member of the Faith Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, June Snow of Abilene; son, Charles Brandon and wife, Lori, of Pahrump, Nevada; foster-son, Tony Enos and wife, Candy, of Phoenix, Arizona; three granddaughters, Renee Crain, Laura Mize, and Jordan Simmons; five great-grandchildren, Joe Ayoub, Michael Ayoub, Zachary Crain, Amelia Crain, and Evan Simmons; a nephew and three nieces.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, at Broadview Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
