Helen R Little

Helen R. Little, 71, of Abilene, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Helen was born October 31, 1939 in Oak Park, Illinois to Ellis Edwin Smith and Janet Louise (Ferrell) Smith. She married Wilson Little in Dallas on May 10, 1969. The couple moved from Dallas to Abilene, where they have lived for the past 40 years. Helen worked as an accountant from 1971 to 1980 for Norman Fitzgerald Oil; from 1980 to 1997 for Wes-Tex Drilling Company and then from 2001 to 2010 for Kendrick Oil and Gas Company. She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her husband, Wilson Little of Abilene, and two sisters, Jean Lerche of Livermore, California, and Joan Mills of Bloomington, Illinois.
