Helen Louise Lambert, 85, of Abilene, Texas, passed away November 4, 2013 in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, Wednesday, November 6, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, Thursday, November 7, at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, Texas.
Helen Louise was born in Frost, Texas to Luther and Lula Hocutt on October 23, 1928. She married Conrad Calvin Lambert on May 10, 1947 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was a Cosmetologist for 50 years. She owned and operated the Beauty Fax Hair Salon and was a member of the Abilene Business Women’s Association. She was also an Avon Representative and was named to Avon President’s Club in 1965. She was the President of the Wylie High School Band Booster Club in the mid sixties. She was also a member of the Abilene Poultry Club and served as their Secretary and Treasurer for many years. Her favorite things to do were knitting gifts for everyone she knew, bragging on her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, watching sports events on television and baking her famous homemade “Memaw’s Chocolate Pie” for everyone.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Conrad Calvin Lambert; Son Earl Gene Lambert; Daughter Gloria Annabel Lambert; Granddaughter Shelby Faith Lambert and Daughter-in-law Linda Kay Lambert and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her Son, Calvin Wayne Lambert and wife Rachel of Uvalde, Texas; Daughter Sheila Kay Lambert of Fort Worth, Texas; Daughter Saundra Louise Carriker and husband Pat of Abilene, Texas; Son Terry Keith Lambert of Hamlin, Texas; Daughter Donna Gail Haile and husband Wesley of Savannah, Texas. Ten Grandchildren; Michael Lambert and his wife Brandi of Ida Lou, Texas; Wendy Samarripa and her husband Phillip of Uvalde, Texas; Chase Guernsey and his wife Colleen of Levittown, Pennsylvania; Jet Carriker and his wife Stephanie of Forney, Texas; Janson Carriker of Fort Worth, Texas; Mindi Carmichael and her husband Chris of Fort Worth, Texas; Jennifer Buzan and her husband Scott of McKinney, Texas; Tyler Haile and his wife Katee of Laredo, Texas; Taylor Lambert of San Angelo, Texas; and Hope Lambert of Hamlin, Texas. Eleven Great Grandchildren; Zachary Steven Lambert, Kaylea Louise Field, and Megan Samarripa of Uvalde, Texas; Westley and Lance Stephens and Mikey Lambert of Ida Lou, Texas; Jeaux Patton Carriker of Forney, Texas; Grayson Buzan of McKinney, Texas; Olivia Carmichael of Fort Worth, Texas; Sammy Boyd and Tommy Guernsey of Levittown, Pennsylvania; a brother F. D. Hocutt of Red Oak, Texas and numerous nephews and nieces.
