Heather was born in Topeka, Kansas, to John and Anne Jordan on June 24th, 1973. God blessed her with an automatic best friend and partner in crime in older sister, Marie Jordan Gongora. Heather graduated from Abilene High School and received her Bachelor of Business Management from Virginia College while raising the loves of her life, her two children Dalton Ramirez and Chloe Marie Ramirez. When she least expected it, Heather met her soulmate Heath Jackson Crow, and after their first date at Monk's, they knew they and their families were meant to be together. On April 30th, 2016, Heather and Heath wed. Dalton, Chloe, Lindsey and Chandler McDaniel, Laura and Davian Rodriguez, Hännebelle "Nänî" Wayne Crow, and three grandchildren, Avery Lynn Rodriguez, Emerson Elle Rodriguez, and Mary Harper McDaniel, completed the family, from then on known as "The Heathens."
Heather worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 23 years. She started as a claims processor and worked her way up for 20 years in different management positions. Heather loved her work but, more so, loved the people she worked with. She met her best friend and confidante, Julie Rodriguez Desemar, while in training at BCBS, and the two were inseparable from then on.
Heather loved ferociously. She was the type of woman who didn't do anything halfway, especially love. Heather gave all of her heart to her children and her husband. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and her hoard of dogs. She gave the best hugs and had the most infectious laugh. Heather was a natural caretaker. For many, she filled the role of mother, sister, and daughter when they needed her. Heather's heart gave to all of those she loved, and there were many.
Heather was preceded in death by her father and mother.
She is survived by her husband and children; her sister and brother in law, Ed Gongora; her nephew Ryan Gongora (spouse Angelica Gongora); niece Jordan Gongora, and great-niece Emory Gongora, and many extended family and friends. To know Heather was to love her, and when Heather loved you, she loved you like family.
Pallbearers will be David Osterhoudt, Wade Desemar, Randy Sims, Ryan Gongora, Victor "Bobo" Ramirez, Junior Villarreal, Mikel Rowe, Kenny Osterhoudt, Jonathan Felty
Memorials and flowers may be sent to St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church at 2525 Westview Dr, Abilene, TX 79603.
