Hayden "Hank" Snow

October 1, 1940 — November 11, 2023

Emblem

Hayden “Hank” Snow, 83, of Voss, TX, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Hank was born in Gorman, TX to Mildred Ruby and Floyd Burr Snow on October 1, 1940.  He met Fredia Sharlene Bradshaw during hunting season in the Fall of 2014, and married her on June 5, 2015, which absolutely changed the last years of his life in the most positive way! Prior to that, Hank had spent 20 years working in, and retiring from, the oil industry. Preceding his time in the oilfield, he served in the Air Force for over 20 years where he and the family traveled to Tawain, Germany (twice), and Italy. Along with those tours, and toward the end of the Vietnam conflict, he did a year on his own in Thailand. The foundation of family and growing up on the farm got him started in life. He spoke fondly of “those” times when … well … too many stories to tell in this piece!

He was proud of many things: of his membership at the Leaday Baptist Church; of his children, grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren; of the times spent with his brothers at the gun shop, gun range, reloading ammo, the deer camp and all the things that happen between brothers during those cherished times.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Alma Dean Stone and Ruby Jane Snow Koonsman, brother Jerry Snow, daughter Diana DeLaCruz, and grandson Brock Gard.

Hank is survived by his wife, Fredia Snow, children; Vicki (Ken) Gard, Bruce (Susan) Snow, Clifton (Judy) Holmes, Scott (Jeanne) Snow, Krystal (Chris) Vernon, Gordon (Brittany) Bradshaw, brothers; William (Polly) Snow and Tommy (Pat) Williamson, grandchildren; Tammy Daniels, Hayden Mills, LeeAnn Carlton, Justin Clark, Amanda Gage, Austin Copeland, Eric Gard, Candace Umphress, Brittany Conwill, Bruce Snow Jr, Haley Freeman, Heather Strain, Douglas Walters, Abbye Wink, Grayson Forbus, and Waylon Bradshaw, and over forty-five (yes >45!) great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren!

Visitation will be 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, in Abilene, TX, with Pastor Joseph Haynes of Leaday Baptist Church officiating.   A burial, with military honors, will follow at Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
