Harriett "Rett" Fuller, 67, of Abilene, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4515 South 14th Street. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery. There will be a viewing beginning at 12:00 pm until service time at the church. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Rett was born November 8, 1944 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Harry Lawrence Halford and Jessie (Livingston) Halford. She graduated from high school in Guymon, Oklahoma. Abilene has been her home for over 30 years. Rett had previously worked at Spano's Italian Restaurant with her family. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Abilene. Rett was loved dearly by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ted Halford. Rett is survived by two sons, Jeffery Maberry and wife Angela of Altus, OK, Daniel Maberry and wife Cami of Mansfield; one brother, Jim Halford and wife Jewell of Abilene; two sisters, Barbara Backus and husband Harroll of Abilene, Nelda Louder and husband Jim of Amarillo; two grandsons, David and Luca Maberry; and two granddaughters, Ryan and Evann Grace Maberry. She is also survived by nieces: Jaime Tindall, Tracy Pierce, Teddie Spano, Cathy Spano, Debbie McGarraugh and Pam Parker; nephews: Hop Backus, Kim Sledge and Blake Halford; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pete Spano, Joe Spano, Harroll Backus, Jim Halford, Kyle Grigsby and Hop Backus will serve as pallbearers.
