George A. McMillin

George Arthur McMillin, 80, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Abilene. He was born to Ellis and Vera McMillin on July 15, 1941 in Abilene.

George married Paula Phariss, and they just celebrated their 61st anniversary. Together, they attended Minter Lane Church of Christ for over 50 years, until recently attending Oldham Lane Church of Christ. He was part owner and operator, with his brothers, of NEMCO, and retired as plant manager from Bandag. He was a member of the radio club in Abilene, and the Civitan Club for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

George is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter, Dona and husband Daniel, and their children: Delena and son Brayden of Plano, Brenna and Alex Nava and their children of San Antonio, Drew Holmes of Abilene, Benjamin and Savannah of College Station, and Danae and Kyle Specht of Abilene; his sons, David and Robert McMillin, both of Port Aransas; and his brothers, Thomas McMillin and family of Lake Whitney, and Bill and Joe McMillin and their families.

There will be no services, but those who wish to pay their respects may do so by signing the register book at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
