Corporal Geoffrey Martin Spano, age 24, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 in Abilene, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, September 22, 2017 at Beltway Park Church North Campus, 2850 Hwy 351, Abilene, Texas, United States, 79601. A committal service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene; directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Geoffrey was born in Missouri City Texas to Greg and Mary Spano on May 16, 1993. He graduated from Manvel High School in 2012, in Manvel, Texas. He married Ashleigh Farmer in 2014. He was a veteran and served in the marines, receiving a Meritorious Mast on June 2, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Angie Kaigler, King and Ruth Shuff, Trinadad Spano, Anna Desilets, Sallie Knight and by his grandfather Charlie Spano.
He is survived by his wife Ashleigh Spano and their three children Liam, Brody, and Knox; his parents, Greg and Mary Spano; his sisters, Lauren Hargis and husband Chase, and Molly Spano; his grandparents, Norma and Tom Desilets, Floyd and Diane Kaigler, and Nancy Spano; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Salerno and Reece Lovercamp.
