Freida Gwen Tollison Littlefield

Freida Gwen Tollison Littlefield, 81, of Abilene, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Rev. Mike Woodard will officiate. Burial will follow in Anson at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Freida was born in Hamlin, Texas on February 13, 1934 to Jim Frank and Artha Lee (Rodgers) Tollison. She graduated from Anson High School in 1951 and married Billy Max Littlefield in Anson on August 18, 1951. Freida worked at Anson General Hospital and Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City. She worked for Dr. Bodindr Thepchatri in Denver City and Dr. Scott Wofford in Abilene. Freida was a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church and Adult Sunday School Class 6. Freida loved flowers and gardening and had a kind and giving heart. She was a wonderful Meme to her grandchildren. She was truly a blessing to her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Freida is survived by her husband, Billy Max Littlefield of Abilene; son, Max Littlefield and wife Kathie of Denver City; daughter, Charlotte Morrison and husband Joe of Abilene; brother, Danny Tollison and wife Jill of Abilene; sister, Annette King of Andrews; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rodriguez, Paige Gonzalez and Cory Morrison; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made in Freida’s honor to Southwest Park Baptist Church, 2901 South 20th Street, Abilene, Texas 79605; or to the donor’s favorite charity.
