Freddy Poe Killough

Fred P. Killough, 84, of Elmdale, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Abilene. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 26th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 27th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with EC Ice officiating. Burial will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Fred was born in Elmdale to Ferd and Cora Killough on October 8, 1934. He is a graduate of Abilene High School. He worked at Dyess AFB for 40 years in Civil Service in the Water Department. He was a veteran of the Korean war and served in the U.S. Navy. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters. Fred is survived by his daughter, Tammy Carter and husband Keith. Twin sister, Freda Bishop, Granddaughter, Laci Thibodeaux & husband Chris. Great grandchildren, Laney, Glen & Paisley. Numerous close relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hendrick Hospice or the Cowboy Heritage church in Clyde, Tx.
