Freddie Jean Wallace, 84, passed away on March 20, 2022 in Abilene, TX.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home in Abilene, TX.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Westgate Church of Christ in Abilene with Rodney Ashlock officiating. Burial will be at Throckmorton Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Freddie Jean Hare was born on her family’s farm and ranch outside of Throckmorton, TX, to Houston and Pauline Hare on February 14, 1938. Freddie graduated from Throckmorton High School where she was elected Basketball Queen, Miss THS and was Valedictorian of her class. Freddie went on to attend the University of North Texas. She later enjoyed a career as an oil and gas secretary/bookkeeper for more than 40 years. Freddie was an active member of Westgate Church of Christ where she was well known and loved.
Freddie was preceded in death by her father, Houston Hare, mother, Pauline Kelley Hare, and brother, Bobby Hare.
Freddie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wallace; granddaughters, Ashley Willyard and Mieka Wallace; grandsons, Cadon David and Xavier Newlun; brother, Jackie Hare; sister Rebecca White along with many nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Terry Hare, Nathan Hare, John Hare, Sam Hare, Zach Hare and John Hare.
Memorials may be given to Westgate Church of Christ, Abilene, TX.
