Fred Draper, of Clyde, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the age of 76. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, in Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. today, Sunday, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Fred was born in Haskell, Texas on November 21, 1931to Frank and Ruth Draper. He attended school in Walters, Oklahoma and worked as a farmer. He was also a night-watchman for 23 years in Haskell, Texas. Fred married Frances Louise Stone in Haskell, Texas. He has been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Haskell since 1947.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances L. Draper, in 1999; three daughters, Glenda Storm, Kim Livingston and Karen Livingston; and one brother, Lee Abbey. Fred is survived by four sons, David Livingston, of Abilene, Harvey Livingston and his wife Carol, of Caldwell, Randy Livingston, of Haskell and Steve Livingston, of Clyde; one daughter, Kathy Gosdin and her husband Tom, of Bernalillo, New Mexico; his twin sister, Dorothy Stricklin, of Duncan, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Fred will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
