Francine Robinson

Francine Robinson, 82, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Abilene, Texas.

Francine was born in Abilene, Texas on May 19, 1936, the daughter of Abe and Ruby Flippin.  Francine was a 1955 graduate of Wylie High School.  She married Leland D. Robinson on November 1, 1968.  She worked for Merchant Motor Lines for five years and attended Abilene Christian University, graduating in 1972.  After graduating from ACU she taught Home Economics at Abilene High School and Wylie High School.  Francine also taught Early Child Development at Cisco Junior College for three years.  She was the Pre-School Sunday School Director at Wylie Baptist Church, and she was also Social Director at the Church. 

She is survived by her husband Leland Robinson, son Josh Robinson, daughter-in-law Mandy Robinson, granddaughter Ryan Nicole Robinson, and sisters Wanda McLeod and Glenda Pickens of Abilene.  Francine had a busy and fruitful life and touched the lives of many people in special ways.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00PM Sunday, October 28, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 29, at Wylie Baptist Church, 6097 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, officiated by Richard Petree, Cecil Davis and Mike Harkrider. Burial will follow in Iberis Cemetery directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Don Farr, Marvin Stringfellow, Dwain Farr, James Terrell, Delton Chorn and Buster Farr.

The family expresses special thanks to Jennifer Chorn for her loving care of Francine.
