Frances G. Loveless McKee, 90, of Abilene passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at a local medical center.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 5th, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6th, in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Frances was born in Breckenridge, Texas to Nellie Jo Bean Loveless and William Hade Loveless on July 28, 1927. She went to school at several schools in Texas and in San Francisco, California. She married William Kenneth Kirkland on July 23, 1946. He preceded her in death in Belton, Texas on August 23, 1957. She married A. L. "Al" McKee on January 28, 1959 in Abilene. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2010 in Abilene.
Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; a dedicated Christian; a pillar of good manners, etiquette and honesty; a great story teller; and a full-time care giver for many years.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Kirkland Bass; her son, James McKee; her sister, Nelda Loveless Freeman; four grandchildren, Kyle Bass, Marshall Bass, Jennifer Davis and Jessica McKee; and five great-grandchildren, Paige, Mason, August, Kaya and Thessaly.
