Floyd Lee Trawick

Floyd "Bo" Trawick, 73, of Merkel, Texas died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Tye Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Tye Cemetery. Rev. Ben Richardson and Rev. Jimmy Hatcher will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Bo was born February 11, 1937 in Jonesville, Texas to Abner Perry Trawick and Alma Loraine (Cook) Trawick. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a Switchman and Conductor. Bo married Margaret Ann New on August 17, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas. They moved to Merkel where they have lived for the past 20 years. He was a true family man, loving his church and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Bo was a member of Tye Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Bo is survived by his wife Ann, two sons, Rick Trawick and wife Lisa, Tim Trawick and wife Cyndi, and one daughter, Kim Trawick, all of Merkel. He is also survived by one brother Andy Collins, of Tennessee, one sister Frances Walters, of Denton; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses on the Parker 3 wing at Hendrick Medical Center, Dr. David Blackwood, Dr. Toby Williams, Dr. Preston Pate, Rhema Medical Supply and the Pulmonary Rehab Center at Hendrick.
