Evelyn Mary Landeros, 70, a longtime resident of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 in Abilene, Texas
Born in Denver, Colorado on January 18, 1945, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Bernice (Martinez) and Samuel Sisneros. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always supportive of the activities and sports in which her children and grandchildren were involved. Her pastimes included working puzzles and keeping up with everyone and everything through “Face Book”.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 43 years, Javier Landeros of Buffalo Gap; three sons and spouses, Jeronimo Landeros and Doris, Javier Landeros, Jr. and Linda, and Joel Espinoza and Viviana; six daughters and spouses, Sylvia Ortiz and Juan, Maria Gallegos and Aniceto, Veronica Martinez and Jorge, Maxine Martinez, Gloria Gonzales, and Delores Gonzales; and a brother, Roger Sisneros.
Survivors also include grandchildren, Tyler Landeros, Tye Landeros, Jennifer Landeros, Taylor Landeros, Audrey Pilgrim, Demitri Pilgrim, Josue Espinoza, Martha Espinoza, Elizabeth Espinoza, Izaies Espinoza, Javier Pesina, Ashley Perez, Rachel Ortiz, Marissa Ortiz, Bryana Ortiz, Nick Ortiz, Evelyn Gallegos, Juaquin Gallegos, Aniceto Gallegos, Jr., Amanda Gallegos, Jose Gallegos, Jesus Martinez, Albert Mendoza, Alisha Mendoza, Anita Mendoza, Angela Mendoza, Adan Padron, Rita Chavez, Laura Olivares, Juaquin Davilla, Jullian Davilla, Jose Espinoza and Miguel Espinoza; and numerous great-grandchildren. Evelyn was passionate about her beloved dogs – Pepe, Pancho, Pancha and Chico.
Evelyn will be missed greatly by her family, her dogs and her many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Elm Valley Community Church with Pastor Ken Cunningham officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Burial will follow in Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 20, at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Tyler Landeros, Tye Landeros, Demitri Pilgrim, Javier Pesina, Juaquin Davilla and Jesus Martinez.
