Eulalia Gray Donald Webb, 93, a lifelong resident of the Potosi and Abilene area died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
The daughter of Pasco (Putman) and James Wilson Gray, Eulalia was born on April 28, 1920 in Potosi, Texas. She attended school in both Potosi and Wylie, graduating from Wylie High School. She worked for Sears in sales for 23 years.
On October 16, 1937, Eulalia married her high school sweet heart, Chester Lee Donald, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by R. Lee Webb, whom she married on October 25, 1992. Eulalia was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sharon Kay Rutledge; her parents; a brother, Norman Gray; and two sisters, Melba Joan Grimes and Betty Jo Gray.
Eulalia is survived by three children and their spouses, Donna and Bob Gurnea and Diane and James Rutledge all of Abilene, and Douglas and Cathy Donald of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven grandkids and spouses, Susan and David Spicer, Robert and Glenda Gurnea, Rhonda and Scott Wegner, Roger and Rhonda Rutledge, Steve and Shelia Rutledge-Yuen, Ryan Donald, and Courtney Donald; eleven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 11, at Elmwood Baptist Church, 2933 South 7th Street in Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Elmwood Baptist Church, with Rev. Joel Tobey officiating, assisted by Rev. Malcom Johnson. Burial will follow in Potosi Cemetery directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Ryan Donald, Brandon Bland, Nathan Bland, Christopher Rutledge, Andrew Wegner and Jason Gurnea.
