Ethan Clay Crockett was the sun, the moon and the stars to all who loved him. He was born July 18, 1995 and left this world December 9, 2011 in Abilene. He attended ATEMS High School for two years before transferring to Abilene High School for his junior year. He was involved in graphic design and created an avatar that won the Mouse Squad Avatar Project at the National level. He also sang in Chorus Abilene and was a class representative for HOSA. Ethan spent his after school time and weekends as a coach's videographer, recording the practices and games of Abilene High's Football team. When he wasn't at school or filming, he worked at United Supermarkets.
Ethan was compassionate, loving, bright and beautiful. He is survived and cherished by his parents, Kim and Philip Crockett, his brother Seth, brother Jarrod and his wife Kayla, grandparents Clark and Vivian Petty, DT and Mary Crockett, and Midge Crockett, great grandfather Troy Crockett, aunt Kathy Hopper and cousin Matt Hopper, uncle Davy Crockett and aunt Kim Crockett and cousins Rebekah, Joseph and Hannah Crockett, uncle Troy Crockett, aunt Sheri Schwartz, aunt Debi Crockett, aunt Melissa Clement and husband Mike, aunt Emily Boyett and husband Bill, and uncle Travis Crockett, in addition to many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Beltway Park Baptist Church, 4009 Beltway South, with Chris Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Abilene.
Ethan will continue to shine his light in the hearts of those who knew him.
