Esther Lee Lankford

Esther Lee Clark Lankford was born to Daniel Smith Clark and Elsie Hayhurst Clark in Dudley on December 3, 1916. She is survived by one son, Hugh Clark Lankford and wife Bobbie of Lubbock; three daughters, Carolyn Sordahl and husband Don of Kennewick, WA., Gwen Bever and husband Tommy of Belton, and Jennie Hampton and husband Mike of San Antonio; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lankford, her daughter Paddy Webster, her parents and seven sisters. Esther was a member of The Northwest Church of Christ and a retiree of Sears after 27 years of service. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. A private burial will follow the funeral service.
