Esther Louise Arnold

Esther Louise Arnold, 95, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on January 16, 2021 in Sherman.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Elmwood Memorial Park, with the Pastor Jim Ritter of Hamby Baptist Church officiating.   Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Esther Arnold was born in Memphis, TN to Frances Jenne and Woodford Jenne, Sr. on December 10, 1925.  She attended Memphis High School and she graduate in 1946. She was married to her sweetheart Randall Clint Arnold for almost 50 years before his death in 1994.  She worked at First Financial Bank in Abilene, Texas as a secretary for many years before retiring. Esther was described by her friend and co-workers as the “original Energizer bunny.  In later life, she loved to travel to see her kids and grandkids and always reveled in their accomplishments and served as their greatest cheerleader.  She was a long-time member of Hamby Baptist Church and loved the people she worshipped with.  She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Hamby Baptist Church.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers (Woodford, Joseph, and William) and three sisters (Julia, Nell, and Lillian). 

She is survived by three children: Patricia Price (Mike), Randall Arnold (Vickie), and Michael Arnold (Frances), six grandchildren (Dennis, Todd, Brian, Jenny, Heather and Penny) and three great-grandchildren (Zach, Mitch, and Marcus).

The family of Esther Arnold wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Pecan Point Senior Care Facility in Sherman, Texas for their wonderful care extend to Esther during her final days.
