Elizabeth Louise Smith

Elizabeth "Louise" Anderson Smith, 72, died March 2, 2007 after a lengthy medical battle. A memorial service, with Rev. Chuck Farina officiating, will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 7 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. September 8, 1934, Louise was born in Bastrop, Texas. She spent the majority of her life in Abilene, Texas. Louise was a caregiver for MHMR for many years. She was also a member of the Ovalo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Smith, life mate J.O. Gill, daughter Kathy Benson, granddaughter, Tonya Hall, mother, Sarah Elizabeth Payne and father Harley Anderson. Louise is survived by two daughters, Lannette Jaynes and husband Jack of Abilene and Frances Howard of Oregon; two sons, Keith Smith and wife Cheryl of San Antonio and Greg Smith and wife Joyce of Midland; one sister, LaNell Bradshaw and husband James of Abilene; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Louise was loved by many and will be missed by all.
