Sue Doucette Heinze, 90 years old, of Buffalo Gap, passed away on August 16, 2024 in Abilene, TX.
Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery with Harold Heinze of San Antonio, TX, officiating.
Sue Heinze was born in Hardin, TX, the youngest of six children, to James and Carmen Doucette on July 24, 1934. She graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty TX. Sue married Wayne A. Heinze on May 28, 1954 in Houston, TX. She worked as a secretary for Gould Batteries where she retired after 25 years. She was a member of a community choral group called the Liberty Belles in high school, served in multiple churches with her husband and life’s partner with the youth, children, music and education ministries. They began a bus ministry in Buffalo Gap so many children were able to learn about the Lord. She also played the piano at the many churches they served and attended. Sue loved to sing and serve the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A Heinze, sisters Ercelle Fox, Bobbie Wiggins, Geraldine Wiggins and brother James Doucette, Jr., nephews Ronnie Fox and Jerry Fox.
Sue Heinze is survived by 1 sister, Evelyn Allen and 10 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews Albert Wiggins, Mike Wiggins, Craig Wiggins, David Parker, Brent Parker, Jason Fox and Craig Heinze.
The family of Sue Heinze wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Lyndale Memory Care and Hendricks Hospice Hospital.
Memorials may be given to Hendrick Hospice Care and Lyndale Memory Care.
