Ed Terbush, 75, of Abilene, passed away on March 6, 2023 in Abilene.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm, on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Beltway Park Church South in the chapel. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Ed Terbush was born in Abilene, TX to Dorothy and Ed Terbush on March 20, 1947. He went to school in Abilene, and he graduated from Abilene High School and McMurry University. Ed married Leslie Grimes Terbush on January 8, 1972, in Abilene Texas. He worked as an elementary school teacher for Abilene and Wylie ISD for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and a friend of Bill Wilson. Ed Loved his wife with all his heart. He was a loving father, who cared for his sons passionately and was always there to help. Poppy was the greatest grandfather to his many grandchildren; he was always making time for them for long visits. He was the family chef, with amazing food that brought the family together and made the family closer. He loved to sit and tell stories to anyone he came into contact with, and never met a stranger. He blessed many generations of children by his love and passion for education and made many connections in the classroom’s he taught in by rocket launches and guitar playing.
Ed Terbush was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy, and Ed Terbush.
Ed Terbush is survived by Leslie Terbush (spouse), Lee Terbush (son) and his children, Alex, Madison, and Tanner Terbush, and Jason Terbush (son) and his wife Kristi Terbush, and their children, Ethan and Lauren Terbush, and great grandchild, Rowan Terbush. His sister, Sharon Lam, and three nephews, Mark, David, and Chris Lam, and many cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Terbush, Tanner Terbush, Mark Lam, Chris Lam, and David Lam.
