Eddie Nasario Rodriguez, 53, passed away on March 4, 2015 in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Eddie was born in Abilene, Texas to Rudy and Blanche Rodriguez on April 2, 1961. He went to Abilene High School where he played football and ran track. He worked in the oil field for many years including Bandera Drilling and Ringo Drilling. His passion was cars and being a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Blanche Rodriguez; his grandfather, Polo Rodriguez; his grandmother, Lucy Marie Rodriguez; and his aunt, Mary Valadez.
Eddie Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Melissa; two sons: Rudy Rodriguez and Eddie (E.J.) Rodriguez, Jr.; two daughters: Amanda Rodriguez and Brittney Rodriguez; three step-sons: Christopher Vickers, Trey Vickers, and Caleb Vickers; 1 sister: Debbie Rodriguez; 3 brothers: Jesse Rodriguez, Jeffery Galbreath and wife, Toni, Joseph Galbreath and wife, Jennifer; 3 granddaughters; numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces; 3 aunts: Rose Ture, Cecillia Rodriguez, and Flo Aguilar who loved him beyond words. Additional close family members include Dena Rodriguez, Santos Valadez, Timothy Ture, and Johnny Herrera III.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Herrera III, Timothy Ture, Santos Valadez, Daniel Esparza, Martin Sanchez, Rudy Rodriguez, Caleb Vickers, and Christopher Vickers.
Memorials may be given to 3250 College Street, Abilene, Texas. The family of Eddie Rodriguez wishes to extend our sincere thank you to Dr. Sam Daggabati and staff.
