Eddie Don Keltner passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Hendrick Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Iberis Cemetery. John Fanning will officiate. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
He was born in Gainesville, Texas on October 10, 1938. His family moved to Roswell, New Mexico in 1950 and that is where he met his high school sweetheart, Raynita Harral. They fell in love, were married in 1955, and had three children; Eddie Keltner, Renee Hussman (married to Ricky Hussman), and Kyle Keltner.
Eddie's love for Nena (Raynita) was something people talk about, dream about, and more importantly write scripture about. They gambled, went to the horse races,
fished, hunted, cooked, built speaker boxes, you name it, they always did it together. They never missed a sporting event their grandkids played in and would get a little fired up from time to time…No one messed with Papa's boys!! We will all remember his tough love for the family, from him killing wasps with his bare hands to frying turkeys in the garage for a family gathering, he did it all. He also had a love for animals.
He leaves behind his second love, his cat, Baby. She helped him get through some tough times and we sure will miss him greatly.
Eddie is survived by his children, his grandchildren, Chris Keltner and his wife Courtney, RD Hussman, and Rocky Hussman and his wife Karan Hussman. His great grandchildren Jason Jarvis, Tyler Hussman, Tanner Hussman, Cassidy Hussman, Hayden Hussman, and Isabel Keltner.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nita, and grandson, Jason.
