Ed is survived by wife Martha, his son Lance Nickels, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren all of Abilene; one sister Mary McBride and one brother Jerry Nusspickel both of Pennsylvania; and a host of friends. He will be missed by all that knew him. Special thanks is expressed for all of the wonderful care he received from Dr. Anton Melnyk and his staff, especially Brenda and Monica, as well as to the wonderful people at Hendrick Hospice for their dedicated care and compassion.
