Earl Wayne McClellan

Earl McClellan, of Abilene, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the age of 67. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. January 29, 1941 Earl was born in Gouldbusk, Texas to Robert Roy McClellan and Dorothy Nadine (Johnson) McClellan. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1959. Earl married Sandra Sherman March 18, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. They lived in Dallas from 1961 before moving to Coleman in 1983. While living in Dallas, he owned and operated T & T Air Conditioning. In 1991, Earl moved to Abilene from Coleman. For 20 years he worked as an insurance claims adjuster for Germania and Farm Mutual Insurance Companies before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Abilene. Earl's father preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Abilene; his mother, Dorothy McClellan, of Coleman; one son, Steve Kevin McClellan, of Fort Hood; one daughter, Jennifer Joann McClellan, of Abilene; one sister, Betty Sue McClellan, of Coleman; and two grandchildren, Megan and Tristen McClellan. Memorials may be made in honor of Earl McClellan to the donor's favorite charity.
