Dorothy Jean Leigh

Dorothy Jean Leigh, 71, of Abilene, Texas died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Allen, Texas on January 11, 1937, she was the youngest of Toy and Lillian Sexton's six children. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road from Noon to 2pm on Monday August 18. Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery following the visitation. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John R. Leigh; daughters Sandra Molinar of Abilene, Texas , Susan Elgin and husband Mitch of Tuscola, Texas; son John R. Leigh, Jr. and wife Monica of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren Brittany Molinar, Chance Elgin, and Corbin Elgin. She is also survived by her brothers; LeeRoy Sexton and wife Doris of Irving, Texas; Mac Sexton and wife Shirley of Mineola, Texas; Toy Sexton, Jr. and wife Jeanette of Mineola, Texas and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers Robert Sexton and Sug Sexton. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother and wife and a proud grandmother. She is commended to the embrace of her Lord by her loving family and remembered fondly by the many friends whose lives she touched.
