Dorothy Pauline Keys

Pauline Keys, 83, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 28, 2008. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. The visitation and service will be held at the Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Pauline was born October 6, 1924 in Merkel, Texas to Robert Pearl and Clara May "Burns" Patton. She married Walter C. Keys in Merkel on November 2, 1941. Her career was spent as a nurse's aide in several local care facilities and 18 ½ years as a caregiver in home healthcare. Pauline was a lifetime local resident. She moved to Irving a year ago to be closer to her family. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carolyn Jane Walters; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by two sons, Charles Keys of Mineral Wells and John Keys and his wife, Glenda of Grand Prairie; four brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren.
