Dorothy Hull Graham

Dorothy Hull Graham, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 21, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas, while surrounded by family. Born in Stamford, Texas on July 15, 1934, Dorothy was the daughter of Cleta Mae (Blackburn) and Herbert Enoch Youngquist, Sr. She attended high school in Stamford and worked as a secretary in Stamford at the veterinarian office for 18 years and Stamford Memorial Hospital for an additional 18 years. In 2000, she moved from Stamford to Abilene, where she was a member of Elmcrest Baptist Church. She played the organ and piano. In Stamford she was an organist and pianist at Central Baptist Church, having played in various churches for over 60 years. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Dorothy loved to travel. She and Hank traveled to Bible conferences for several years in various states including Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, as well as in Texas. She was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a gifted seamstress. She was preceded in death by her first husband, L. D. Hull, Jr. in 1999; her parents; and one brother, Herbert “Swede” Youngquist, Jr. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Hank Graham of Abilene; two sons, Larry Hull, Sr. and wife Tommie of Carthage, Texas, and David Hull of Abilene; two daughters, Diane Hull LaMarca of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Jeanetta Hull Swofford of Providence Village, Texas; one stepson, Michael Graham of Irving, Texas; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Morris Youngquist and wife Wanda of Pampa, Texas and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. Barney Bryant officiating. Graveside services will follow at 12 noon in Ericksdahl Cemetery in Jones County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
