Donna Lee Kitchens was born in Pampa, Tx, January 14, 1930, only child of Lee Marvin Kitchens and Madeline Osborne deceased. Donna's paternal grandparent C.W. Kitchens was one of the pioneers that settled that part of Texas in the early part of the 20th Century.
The maternal grandparents also settled in the panhandle around that time coming from Oklahoma. The Osborne name became a prominent part of heritage of that and later times.
Donna graduated from Miami, Texas high school and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She was sophomore class favorite at Hardin-Simmons University and a member of the Cowgirls Spirit Organization. She marred Donald Dean Yarbro and had 3 children, Donald Dean Yarbro, Jr. MD, Sharon Denise Oliver and Dani Lee Yarbro, who preceded her in death.
Donna was in the insurance business from 1965 and started her own agency in 1984. Her daughter Dani was a Farmers agent until shortly before her death. The agency is managed by Denise Yarbro Oliver. Donald Dean Yarbro, Jr. MD became a radiologist and resides in Las Vegas, NV.
Donna is survived by Donald Dean Yarbro, Jr. MD, Denise and her husband Les Oliver. Grandchildren; Tracy Oliver, Adam Yarbro, Tyler Lee Yarbro, Ava Yarbro, Lauren Yarbro, a niece Dinah Nichols and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
