Donna Mullins

Donna Beth Kennedy-Mullins, 72, of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10am, Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Hamil Family Funeral Services with Steve Ridgell of Hillcrest Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Donna was born on the Chanute Field AFB in Illinois to Eugene K and Laura Jane Kennedy on January 8, 1952. She graduated at Burkburnette High School in Burkburnette, TX in 1970 and attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls for 2 years, went back to college at Abilene Christian University at the age of 40 and graduated in 1995 with a BAS degree in Interior Design. She married Richard E. Mullins on November 24, 1972 in Wichita Falls, TX. She worked as a interior decorator at Abilene Lumber for 11 years, was a vendor at Under One Roof for 14 years and retired in August 2020. In her spare time, Donna also ran a local pet hotline where she posted lost/found pets.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rick, of 51 years and an infant brother, Kregg Kennedy.

Donna is survived by son, Craig Mullins and wife Gwen; daughter, Haylee Mullins; brother, Scott Kennedy; and grandson, Shepard Stone Mullins.

Pallbearers will be Scott Kennedy, Craig Mullins, Gary McLeod, David Silvey, Dale Eaves and Zane Wright.
