Dennis was born on July 19, 1946 in Ballinger, Texas to the late Dause Odell and Euna Allene (Blackman) Sherman. He graduated from Ballinger High School and graduated from business school. He and Martha Harral were married on January 22, 1965 in Ballinger.
Dennis worked in food service and sales with PFG and Sysco Companies, retiring from both after many years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed working with both companies because of the many friends he met along the way.

The last 27 years, he devoted his life to being the best “papa” to twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He loved camping with his family, cooking BBQ, fishing, attending estate sales and just piddling around with most anything.
Dennis proudly served in the US Army for four years and in the Army National Guard for 16 years.
