David Ray Bartlett

David Ray Bartlett, of Hawley, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the age of 59. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. August 1, 1948, David was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Dan Bartlett, Jr. and Martha (Davee) Bartlett. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1966. David moved from Fort Worth to Abilene in the 1980s. He had previously worked for Dyess Federal Credit Union and Crown Cork & Seal. David was currently employed as a corrections officer for the Middleton Unit where he had worked for the past 12 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. David is survived by one son, Dan Bartlett; one daughter, Tiffany Talley; three step-sons, Aaron Fornwalt, Gary Fornwalt, and James Fornwalt; one step-daughter, Nikki Hobbs; one brother, Dan Bartlett III, and his wife Connie; three grandchildren, Katelyn, Dan Jr., and Gage Ray; six step-grandchildren, Michael, Tater, Zachery, Ethan, Grace, and Brianna. He is also survived by his companion, Linda Fornwalt.
