Daryl Wayne Burleson, 48, died January 7, 2007, in Abilene. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating and assisted by Brother H. B. Terry. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Daryl was born on June 23, 1958, in Sweetwater, Texas to Floy Sipe Skelton and Don Wayne Burleson. He attended school in Abilene and graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1976. Daryl was a Journeyman Electrician for Royal Electric since 1983 and a member of the International Brothers Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 681. He was also a member of the Rebel Riders MC. Daryl married Donna Hammersmith on October 9, 2004 in Abilene. He was a Baptist.
Daryl is survived by his wife Donna; two daughters, Danille Clark and Desirae Klozinski and her husband James; his father Don Burleson and his wife Pat; his mother Floy Skelton and her husband Bill; two brothers Marty Burleson and his wife Susie, Boyd Burleson and his wife Michelle; one grandson, Ryland Klozinski; his mother-in-law, Anna Hammersmith; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Julie and Ken Terry, Russell and Beverly Ellison, and Denise Miles, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Burleson, Martin Burleson, Steve Mahaffey, Shannon Mahaffey, Tom Hanley and Chris Terry.
