Darold Lee Kale, 75, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on February 3, 2025.
Burial services in honor of his life and military service will be held on Friday February 14, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Road. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Darold was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on March 23, 1949. As a young child he and his family moved to Fresno, California. Darold graduated from McLane High School in Fresno in 1968. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam, 1968-1972. A few years later he enlisted in the United States Army for 21 years where he proudly served as a Blackhawk pilot. He flew missions in Turkey, Afghanistan, Iraq, Grenada and Korea.
Darold is survived by his wife Judy, son David, daughter Kaycee, sister Eileen, her husband Alan, twin brother Donald, nieces Wendi, Heidi, Tami, Robyn, nephew Aaron and their spouses, also granddaughter Haylee and 7 more grandchildren.
Darold loved his family and friends. All his precious pets held a special place in his heart. He was a true and unbending American Patriot.
