Danny R. Bunce

Danny Ralph Bunce died Monday at an Abilene medical center. The son of Joyce (Schultz) and R. D. Bunce, Danny was born in Baldwin, Wisconsin. He served in the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. After retirement from the military, he worked at Abilene Aero as manager. Danny married Estela Meraz Bunce in Rialto, California. Survivors include his wife, Estela Bunce, and daughter, Michelle Christine Perkins, both of Abilene, and grandchildren, Kyle Vincent Perkins and Ethan Perkins. Danny is also survived by a brother, Mac Kinnley Bunce of Prescott, Wisconsin, and sisters, Pat Anderson of Plum City, Wisconsin, Rose Givins of Osceola, Wisconsin, Windy Chapman of Denver, Colorado and Dorthy Barnes of Tempe, Florida A memorial ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 23, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Frederick Nawarskas officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
