Cory Day

Cory Don Day, of Surprise, Arizona passed away on June 9th.

Visitation will be held at The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Road., Abilene, Texas 79606 on Thursday, June 15th from 6pm to 8pm.

Cory was born in Abilene, TX. to Sammy Day and Becky Weatherby on February 16, 1977. He went to Wylie High School and graduated in 1995; after graduating he attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He spent his career in telecommunications in Arizona. He enjoyed attending sporting events with his son and he continued to be a huge Dallas Cowboys fan even though he was in Arizona. Riding his motorcycle was a passion for him and he put many miles on his bike riding to events or just taking his son out for a cruise.

Cory is survived by his father Sammy Day, and stepmother Kay Day of Baird, his mother, Becky Weatherby of Abilene, son, Wyatt Day of Surprise Arizona, and his brother Nathan Day of Rhome, Tx.
