Cory Parker Couch

Cory Parker Couch, the love of our lives, passed away on March 19, 2018 in Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Funeral services will be held at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Friday, March 23, 2018. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Funeral Home. Cory Couch was born in Fort Worth, TX to Shannon and Kelly Couch on March 11, 1995. He went to Abilene High School and was a proud Eagle, graduating in 2017. Cory was active in Challenger Little League Baseball since the age of 5, participated in Special Olympics at Abilene High School and Mann Middle School and is a life time member of Kind David's Kids. Cory enjoyed playing Nintendo and computer games, all sports, especially baseball, spending time with his friends eating Pizza and most of all, Los Arcos cheese enchiladas. He also loved going to Texas Rangers and Roughriders baseball games with his parents, camping and taking road trips throughout the country. Cory loved watching wrestling and his favorite wrestler he cheered on was John Cena. Cory will be remembered for his beautiful smile, gleaming brown eyes, fierce determination and the amazing ability to love others unconditionally. Cory was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Edward "Couchie" & Kathryn Couch; Herman & Margrene Carmack; Eugene & Eula Higgins; and Raymon & Ora Mae Kelly. Cory is survived by his loving parents, Shannon & Kelly Couch; Grandparents, Leroy & Marlene Higgins and Mike & Trinell Couch of Abilene. Uncles and Aunts include Jimmy & Julie Higgins, Kathy Higgins, Danny Higgins, Christie & Sparky Price, Mishelle & Leland Godbee, Cheryl & Mark Menditto. Cousins include Tammy, Teryn and Signe Senn, Tracy Finstad, Jordan Daberko, AshLee, Gabby, Gabe and Elizabeth Ware, Eddie, Spencer and Jake Price, Brittany Price, Caleb Price, Ryan Heaton, Anna Menditto, Joseph Menditto, and David Purcell. Birth father Frank and wife Dominica Jones; half-brother Griffin Jones; half-sister Julia Jones, and birth mother Stacey Montalvo. Extended family and caretakers includes Tiffany and Hunter Breaux, Kirby McErlane-Crowe, Michelle McMillian, Heather Harlow-Salazar, KerryLynn Hannah, Krystal Vickers and the one and only Paw. Pallbearers will be Joseph Menditto, Ryan Heaton, Caleb Price, Jordan Daberko, David Purcell, Jimmie Smith and Joe Tauer.
