Colt Baker

December 2, 2018 — March 4, 2024

Our beautiful baby boy, Colt Evan Baker was called home to heaven on March 4, 2024.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Trent Garden of Memories Cemetery with Jimmy Hill, officiating.

The family requests that everyone wear Colt’s favorite color, Sky Blue to the service.

A reception will follow at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Merkel.

Arrangements are with The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, Texas.

Colt was born to Mark and Barbara Baker on December 2, 2018.

Although his life was brief, Colt was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He never met a stranger and talked to every person he came in contact with. Colt was known for his love of all things boy like dinosaurs (but only carnivores), sharks (especially the Megalodon), Venom, and all the villains. Colt always turned the villains into good guys and friends. He had a true talent for acting out his shows and imagination and his sound effects were impressive and impeccable. If you had the pleasure of hearing his dinosaur roar, you were amazed and entertained every time.

Colt also loved singing and often made up his own songs which he belted out at any given moment.  He was the perfect combination of smart, funny, and sweet.  His parents were always impressed with his knowledge and often asked him “how do you even know that?”

He had the best manners and the sweetest heart. He loved deeply and always wanted everyone to be happy. He had a special bond with his Mama and they truly enjoyed spending all their time together. He was her mini me to a T.

Colt is survived by his parents as well as his two brothers, Brandon Chase Baker and Houston Shane Baker and one sister Makayla Baker. Colt and Makayla shared a special bond and he adored her.   Survivors also include his grandparents; Tellmo and Patricia Baker.  He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Weathermon. Colt was a bright light in this world and will be greatly missed by all.
