Claydene Bell

Claydene Bell, 88, passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 at a local hospital. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Iowa Park, Texas, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Claydene was born on December 5, 1917 in Haskell County, Texas to Lonnie Albert and Evie Francis (Watson) Teal. April 15, 1939, Claydene married O.M. "Johnny" Bell in Walters, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bell was a longtime resident of Abilene. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Miriam Malacord. Claydene is survived by her husband, Johnny Bell of Abilene; one daughter, Susan Parks and her husband David of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Kathy Donnell of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jackie Medlinger of El Reno, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Paige McClung, David Parks, Jr. and Todd Parks; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made in honor of Claydene Bell to the First Methodist Church, 201 East Bank Street, Iowa Park, Texas 76367.
