Claudia Viola Stahl

Claudia Viola “Vi” Stahl, 84, of Snyder, formerly of Abilene, passed away on July 30, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1st, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene. Vi was born in Post, Texas to Isaac Andrew Jackson King and Nina James King on October 26, 1930. She went to school at Post, Texas. She graduated from Post High School as valedictorian and received numerous college scholarships. She married Joe Oliver Stahl on June 11, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was involved in RSVP and Meals on Wheels for 20 years. She received many accolations during her years volunteering. Vi Stahl was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and her first great grandchild, Sierra Valenzuela. Vi Stahl is survived by three children, Jeannie (Paul) King, Cowan (Melodi) Stahl, Robyn (Bobby) Ford; sister, Lois Noble; grandchildren, Anna, Rebecca, Crystal, Ashley, Shahala, Jennifer, Alisa, LaRae, Tara, Rodney, Tricia, Rance, Zaey, and Zoey; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
