Clarence W. Rowley, 84, of Baird, Texas died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Abilene, Texas.
Born in Ekalaka, Montana on September 27, 1931, Clarence was the son of the late Ruby Fern (Johnson) and William Curtis Rowley. He received a master’s degree from George Washington University. He was a pilot in the U S Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Clarence married Gerry Anne Key in Mertzon Texas on March 3, 1956. He had been a resident of Baird, Texas since 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Gerry Rowley of Baird, TX; son, Robert Rowley and wife Angie of Baird; daughter, Diane Long and husband Joe of Arlington, TX; sister, Rose Turbiville of Spearfish, South Dakota; and four grandchildren, Colby Rowley and wife Danielle, Brice Long, Shannon Goldstrich and husband Andrew, and Craig Rowley.
Cremation arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. No services are scheduled.
