Christine Taylor

Christine Taylor, 81, of Abilene, went to be with her Lord and family on Thursday, February, 14, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center Hospice Unit. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 4:00 PM at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road with Dr. Jeff Reid, Associate Pastor of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, officiating. There will be no burial service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Christine was born in Albany, Texas to Arlie and Willis Clarence Ratliff. She grew up in Brownwood and graduated from Odessa High School. She married Thomas E. Chrane, Jr. in 1948 in Brownwood. Later Christine found a second love in Clements B. (Slim) Taylor and they married in 1970 in Abilene. She and Wynona Harris were the owners of Unique Creations Jewelry shop in Burrow Alley, Abilene, Texas which opened in 1983. Christine was preceded in death by her parents Arlie and Willis Clarence Ratliff; her first husband, Thomas E. Chrane, Jr.; her second husband, Clements B. (Slim) Taylor; her son, Jerry Wayne Chrane; her brothers, William (Bill) Ratliff and Raymond Ratliff; and her beloved Pomeranian, Ginger. Christine is survived by her son, Bobby Chrane and wife Connie of Abilene; her daughter, Vickie Sadler also of Abilene; her sister, Liveda Jones and husband Bill of Marble Falls; three granddaughters, Andrea Myers and husband Mark of San Angelo, Jennifer Sadler of Abilene, and Stephanie Chrane of Houston; great-grandchildren, Harley Chrane, Ashley Myers, Dakota Myers, and Sterling Myers; two nieces, Theresa Jones of Georgia and Karen Ratliff of Tennessee; as well as her beloved Pomeranian, Hope. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Brian Ganesh, Hendrick P3 staff, Hendrick Hospice Staff, and Southwest Home Healthcare Nurses Mary Weatherman and Bobbye Bean.
