Charlie Mack Moore, 83, of Crosbyton, Texas passed away on Saturday September 12, in Abilene, Tx.
Funeral and burial services will be held on October 10th in Crosbyton, Texas at a private family burial site.
Charlie was born in Cone, Tx to Arvis and Opal Moore on January 11, 1937. He attended school in Crosbyton, Tx where he was a 12 year Senior graduating in 1955. After high school he attended Abilene Christian College and went on to serve in the Marines where he was stationed in San Diego, Japan and Hawaii. After the service, he worked on his family's farm for several years. Charlie married Nancy Carroll Smithee on October 14, 1960. He then went on to pursue a higher education at Southwestern Pharmacy College Oklahoma in 1969. After earning his BS Pharmacy degree, he owned and operated Moore Pharmacy in Idalou, Tx from 1972-1976. His Pharmacy career then took him to Methodist/Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Tx. where he retired after 29 years.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Moore.
He is survived by two sisters; Kitty Joyce McDowell and her husband Larry of Crosbyton and Glenda Fern Moore of Ralls, Tx.; his wife Nancy of Abilene, children Scotty Moore and his wife Lisa of San Angelo, Sydnie Moore of Elgin, and Shannon Akins and husband Scott of Abilene. Charlie also leaves behind 5 grandchildren; Miles Moore, Connor Akins, Matthew Moore, Will Akins and Addison Akins.
